About
A media diary.
A personal record of things I've watched, read and listened to.
What's this all about?
I started tracking the movies I was watching in an Apple note a couple of years ago. It was a handy and simple way to have a list of things I'd seen and the ratings I'd given them. But, like everything in my life, I wanted more detail.
Anto's Media Digest brings movies, television, theatre, books, music and podcasts together in one place. It's deliberately a record rather than a recommendation engine: what I consumed, when I consumed it, and what I thought of it, with the occasional commentary.
The idea was heavily inspired by Gina Trapani's Media Menu, which I loved as a simple, personal way of recording and remembering the media we consume. This is my own take on that idea, built around how I wanted to keep my media diary.
I built it mostly for myself, and I'll keep tinkering with it as I figure out what else I'd like it to remember. It's also quite custom to me and my needs, but I might also open-source it at some point in the future.
